We are looking for contributors to Volume 40 of LawNow.
We welcome the 40th volume of LawNow with some amazement. Our journey from a small in-house newsletter to the sophisticated and engaging online journal that LawNow is today has been both challenging and immensely rewarding. And, it has only been possible because of our wonderful, dedicated volunteers and readers.
If you share our enthusiasm and commitment to public legal education, consider writing on one of the topics in our Call for Contributors: Vol 40, or contact us with your own suggestions for themes, special reports, and columns.
Topics outlined in the Call for Contributors include:
- Technology and Evidence
- Municipal Law
- The Magna Carta: 800 years old
- Sports Law
- Poverty and Homelessness
- What is going on in our jails?
- Where in the World are our Judges?
- Vulnerable Seniors
- The Carter Decision and Physician Assisted Death
- Transgender Issues
- Access to Justice
- Employment Law/Unions
- Senate Reform
- Environmental Law
- Family Law
- The Law and Students
- Families at Risk
First-time contributors are always welcome!
Please pass on the Call for Contributors to anyone you feel may be interested in writing for us.
Note that articles researched and written for LawNow may qualify for Alberta lawyers as part of your on-going Continuing Professional Development plan in accordance with Rule 67.1
Please contact us with your ideas!
We hope to gather responses by April 30, 2015 but we are always open to your ideas, suggestions, and offers to contribute!
