In LawNow’s most recent issue, a very popular article has been “Helping Children and Teens Deal with Separation and Divorce“. Here is another resource to add to the list!
The Public Legal Information Association of NL has recently released material for children and youth living in Newfoundland and Labrador, ages 10 to 15 years, dealing with parental separation and divorce. It aims to provide some basic information about family law and give them an idea of the processes that parents may go through when they separate or divorce. The booklet My Parents Live Apart (PDF) is accompanied by short online videos to fit with each of the sections: Money Matters, Home Matters, Safety Matters, Emotional Matters, Help Matters, and Language Matters.
